Newbuild Property

Acting for buyers of new build property has long been a specialism of Direction Law.

Until recently, we have had two separate new build departments, one specialising in acting for buyers of new build shared ownership properties, the other dealing with all other types of new build purchase. As a result of our restructure this has now changed.

New Build Shared Ownership is Direction Law’s largest department, which undertakes the work from all three of our offices, and this work will continue to be undertaken by Direction Law until such time as our restructure fully concludes, at which point it will be undertaken by a new firm dedicated entirely to this niche area.

All other New Build work will now be undertaken by Strive Law which now employs all staff previously employed by this department of Direction Law. If you would like a quotation from Strive Law they can be contacted on 01233 223040 or by email quotesandenquiries@strivelaw.co.uk.

Who will act for you in your conveyancing transaction?

Files are allocated to various members of the team when they are opened, based on their current workload and the type of transaction, but a brief overview of which fee earners deal with each type of work can be seen if you click here and you can then read further information about them and their experience on the Our Team pages of this website.

What are the key stages in the process?

We appreciate that the conveyancing process can seem complicated and rather daunting, especially if you are a first time buyer. We have therefore made a short video which explains, very simply, the various stages in the conveyancing process. Please take 5 minutes to watch the video below, it should help you understand the work that we do on your behalf.
