Direction Law’s newbuild department works closely with many of the country’s major house builders, specialist new homes sales agents and housing associations.
We act for residential buyers and investors from the UK and abroad on the purchase of newbuild units up and down the country.
The majority of developers give the buyer between 21 and 28 days from reserving the property to exchange of contracts. It is important that this timescale is adhered to otherwise you risk losing your reservation fee and the property. We are familiar with these deadlines and will do all we reasonably can to assist you in meeting them.
Many newbuild properties are sold “off-plan” during the construction stage, with buyers having only seen the show-home. Unlike most solicitors we are very familiar with this concept and have helped thousands buy their newbuild property off-plan.
We also have particular expertise in the various affordable housing schemes, such as:
» Help to Buy Equity Loans
» Discount Market Sales
» Shared Ownership
We understand how these schemes work, deal with the additional layers of complexity on a daily basis and have experience in dealing with the developer’s solicitors – all of which is a distinct advantage in achieving a smooth, stress-free transaction.
Direction Law’s newbuild department is the largest in the firm, comprising a team of over 25 people. The team takes pride in offering an excellent service and will always go the extra mile to make ensure a successful outcome for our clients. Our online feedback shows that over 94% of our clients were either extremely likely or very likely to recommend our services to others.
